“I applaud the people of Tippecanoe County and their leaders for enacting a moratorium on the state’s multi-billion pipeline plan to pump water from West Central Indiana to its LEAP project. This project was planned in secrecy without input from the community or independent testing and the community is rightly frustrated. We can’t be a successful state if only a handful of county’s prosper and it is wrongheaded to view small towns and rural communities as places whose resources can be tapped for the benefit of giant corporations. A Doden administration will be focused on ensuring that our small towns and rural communities have an opportunity to grow and thrive.”
